One Year On, 50k Hits And An Impending West End Debut!

I thought reaching the coveted 50,000 hits would be a great opportunity to post a little something!

With it being a year since the BBC thrust I'd Do Anything, the TV talent search for the next Nancy and Oliver in one of Britain's best loved musicals, onto our screens you wouldn't be blamed for not even predicting what would have happened in the coming months and year. It is fair to say that all of the girls who featured on I'd Do Anything are going on to be extremely successful in all their own projects, and especially Jessie.

Despite not winning the role of Nancy, the public had warmed to Jessie, she went on to do numerous performances and workshops gaining more supporters and finally, the role of Anne in A Little Night Music. No mean feat for a girl fresh out of a small Irish town and into the bustling bright lights of London.

The only thing left to say is that I want to publicly congratulate Jessie on all that she has achieved so far and particularly on the recent fantastic news about the transfer to the Garrick theatre. I think Jessie has really proven to everybody that if you have such a passion for something you can achieve it despite all the obstacles that may come to stand in your way.

Well, I'm not surprised, I have had to go to the UK to find anything worth watching TV or otherwise. As I have said before, it was in pursuit of Ruth Wilson's career and I am still on top of that with the Ruth Wilson yahoo group, with help. I'd Do Anything is still on the top of my list of ALL TIME favorite TV shows' along with Masterpiece Theater and a few other UK productions. I have to thank all of you who have submitted reviews of ALNM to Jessie's blog, that and some old VHS tapes of the same program, from all of that I was able to imagine what some of you were seeing live, remember it all happens between the ears and behind the eyes. The top 12 of 10,000 in the UK is definitely close to the top 10 in the world and time will show that! Jessie and her historian, different career paths but very much alike, both worth 50,000.

Hi all,
Reflecting on a superb final performance at the MCF yesterday-could fill entire comments section..but for now -this production is moving from strength to strength and richly deserves it's place in the West End. And Jessie, no one deserves to take to the stage at the Garrick more than you,be immensley proud of all you've achieved.Have a jolly good rest won't you!
